🤖 monday.com Cuts 620 Jobs in AI-Era Restructuring
Enterprise software employees and investors are likely to watch this closely because it shows how even established public software companies are reshaping teams around AI priorities while facing sustained market pressure.
monday.com announced on July 22, 2026 that it is laying off about 620 people, a fifth of its workforce, with 350 of the cuts in Israel, where more than half its staff is based. The company says the move is an AI-era restructuring that reallocates resources toward AI product development rather than replacing workers with AI. The cuts come as shares are down about 50% this year and more than 80% from their peak, even as monday.com remains one of Israel’s largest public software companies. The 620 join a July wave of AI-framed restructurings tracked alongside GoKwik, Mews, and TikTok’s moderation overhaul.
